Information We DO NOT Collect

Our Apps do not require user accounts and do not collect or store:

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Names
  • Passwords
  • Any other personally identifiable information

Information We Do Collect

1. Photos You Submit

  • When you take or upload a photo for identification, the photo is processed to identify the subject
  • Photos are stored locally on your device along with identification results
  • Photos are transmitted securely to OpenAI’s API via our secure intermediary service (val.town) for analysis
  • Except as described in the “Community Scans” section below, we do not store your photos or identification results on our servers or any cloud storage
  • Photos sent to OpenAI are subject to OpenAI’s data usage policies, and OpenAI cannot use data gathered via our apps to train their models or for any other purpose

2. Device Permissions

  • Camera Access: Required to take a photo directly within the app
  • Photo Library Access: Required to upload an existing photo from your device
  • These permissions are only used for their stated purposes

3. Usage Analytics

  • We may use UXCam to collect anonymous session recordings to understand how users interact with the app and improve user experience
  • This may include screen recordings, taps, gestures, and navigation patterns without any user identifiable information
  • UXCam may collect device information and app usage data according to their privacy policy

4. Subscription and Payment Information

  • We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions
  • RevenueCat may collect transaction data, device identifiers, and other information necessary to process payments
  • We do not have access to your actual payment information (credit card numbers, etc.) as this is handled directly by Apple
  • RevenueCat’s data collection and use is governed by their privacy policy

5. Future Analytics and Services

  • We may integrate additional analytics and services such as Firebase, AppsFlyer, or similar tools in the future
  • These services may collect usage data, device information, and app performance metrics
  • Each service will have its own privacy policy governing their data practices
  • We will update this Privacy Policy when such integrations are added

Community Scans (SlabID Only)

SlabID includes a feature called Community Scans, which lets you see cards scanned by other SlabID users. This section applies only to SlabID. None of the other apps listed above share any content between users.

What is sent to our servers

When Community Scans is enabled, after you identify a card SlabID sends the following to our servers:

  • The cropped card image only. The app automatically detects the card in your photo and crops it out. Only this crop is sent. Your original photo, and anything else that was visible in the frame, is never sent and never leaves your device.
  • The card details produced by the identification: player, year, brand, set, card number, parallel, team, sport, grading, condition, estimated value and currency
  • Your App Store storefront country, used to show which country a card was scanned in
  • An anonymous device identifier generated by RevenueCat, used only so that you are not shown your own cards, and so that we can remove your cards if you ask us to
  • The app version

What is never sent

  • Your name, email address or any account information (we do not have any)
  • Your original, uncropped photos
  • Your location, contacts or photo library
  • Your scan history, collections or portfolio, all of which remain on your device

Review before anything appears

Nothing is published automatically. Every submission is reviewed by a person before it can be shown to other users. If a card is rejected, its images are deleted from our storage immediately.

Turning Community Scans off

Community Scans is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in SlabID under More > Community > Community Scans. Turning it off stops your scans from being sent to us and also stops other users’ cards from being shown to you. It is a single setting covering both directions.

Deleting cards you have contributed

Turning the feature off stops any further sharing, but it does not automatically remove cards that have already been published. To have your contributed cards removed, email us at hi@fitdaily.in and we will delete them. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Reporting content

Every community card has a report option, reachable from the flag icon on the card’s detail screen. Reports go to hi@fitdaily.in and we act on them promptly.

Legal basis (EEA and UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a shared collector feature. The single opt-out setting described above, the pre-publication review, and the deletion process are how we balance that interest against your rights. You may object to this processing at any time by turning the feature off or by contacting us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Identify subjects from photos you submit
  • Provide you with identification results
  • Operate the Community Scans feature in SlabID, where enabled
  • Improve app functionality and user experience
  • Process subscription payments
  • Analyze app usage patterns to enhance features
  • Provide customer support when needed

Data Storage and Security

  • Photos and identification results are stored locally on your device
  • The only exception is SlabID’s Community Scans feature, described above, where a cropped card image and the card’s details are stored on our servers and on Cloudflare R2
  • We implement reasonable security measures to protect data transmitted to third-party services
  • Photos are transmitted securely via encrypted connections
  • Apart from Community Scans submissions, we do not maintain any server-side database of your photos or identification history

Third-Party Services

Our Apps integrate with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

OpenAI

  • Used for AI-powered identification via their API
  • Your photos are sent to OpenAI for analysis
  • OpenAI cannot use data from our apps to train their models
  • Privacy Policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

RevenueCat

Cloudflare

UXCam

  • Used for session recording and analytics
  • Collects usage data and interaction patterns
  • Privacy Policy: https://uxcam.com/privacy

Apple App Store

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party services to understand their data practices.

Data Retention

  • Photos and identification results are stored on your device until you delete them
  • If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed from your device
  • Apart from SlabID Community Scans submissions, we do not retain any copies of your photos or identification history
  • Community Scans submissions that are rejected have their images deleted immediately. Approved cards remain available until we remove them, including at your request
  • Third-party services may retain data according to their own retention policies

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information from any users, we do not have special procedures for children.

Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of the apps, particularly when dealing with content that may require adult guidance or safety considerations. In SlabID, where the Community Scans feature shows content contributed by other users, parents and guardians can turn the feature off under More > Community > Community Scans.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Almost all of your data is stored locally on your device, where you have direct access to it. For SlabID Community Scans submissions, contact us and we will tell you what is held
  • Right to Delete: You can delete your photos and identification history directly from the app or by uninstalling the app. For SlabID Community Scans submissions, email hi@fitdaily.in and we will delete them
  • Right to Object: You can turn off Community Scans in SlabID, or choose not to use the app if you disagree with our data practices
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You can revoke camera and photo library permissions in your device settings

For data collected by third-party services, please contact them directly or refer to their privacy policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of any material changes by:

  • Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy
  • Posting a notice within the applicable app(s)

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law. Since we do not store personal information on our servers, and the only images we hold are cropped card photos submitted through SlabID’s Community Scans feature, the impact of such a breach would be limited.

International Data Transfers

If you use our Apps from outside India, please note that your photos are processed by OpenAI’s API, which may involve transferring data internationally. Community Scans images and card data for SlabID are stored with Cloudflare and val.town, which also involves international transfer and storage. Such transfers are subject to those providers’ privacy practices and applicable data protection laws.
