Overview
iSetlist is designed with your privacy in mind. The app does not require you to create an account, does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number, and does not operate any backend server that stores your data. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the app and how it is handled.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifiers
- Your location data
- Device identifiers beyond what Apple provides to the App Store and subscription systems
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioural data
- Any data that leaves your device except as described in Section 2
2. Photos and AI Processing
When you scan a setlist, the photo you select or capture is sent to an AI service (currently OpenAI) solely to identify the songs visible in the image. This is the only instance in which any data leaves your device.
Important details about this process:
- Photos are transmitted to the AI provider only for song recognition. They are not used for any other purpose.
- We do not receive, store, or have access to your photos on any server we operate.
- The AI provider we use may change over time. When a new provider is used, this policy will be updated accordingly.
- You should review the privacy policy of the current AI provider (OpenAI, at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy) for details on how they handle data submitted to their API.
Beyond this AI processing step, no photo data is stored anywhere outside your device.
3. On-Device Data
All app data including your scan history, song lists, and app preferences – is stored locally on your device. This data is not synced to any cloud service operated by us and is not accessible to us at any time.
Playlists you create are saved directly to your Apple Music library and are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
4. Subscriptions
iSetlist offers paid subscription plans and a Lifetime Pro option. Subscription management, billing, and payment processing are handled by RevenueCat and Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Please review Apple’s and RevenueCat’s privacy policies for details on how subscription and purchase data is handled.
5. Apple Music Integration
When you connect Apple Music, the app requests the necessary permissions via Apple’s MusicKit framework. We do not store your Apple Music credentials or account information. Any playlists created through the app are added directly to your Apple Music library and remain under your control.
6. Children’s Privacy
iSetlist is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice within the app where possible.
