These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the iPrep mobile application (“the app,” “iPrep,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using iPrep, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What iPrep is
iPrep is a study and practice tool for people preparing for United States food safety certification exams, including food protection manager exams, food handler tests, and alcohol server permits. The app provides practice questions, explanations, a diagnostic, a timed exam simulator, progress tracking, and reference material.
Study aid only, no guarantee
iPrep is an independent study aid. It is not a certification, a course, or an official exam. Using the app does not guarantee that you will pass any exam or obtain any credential. We do not control exam content, scoring, or requirements, and passing standards may change. You are responsible for confirming the exact certification your role and jurisdiction require and for meeting all official requirements.
Not professional advice
Content in iPrep is provided for general educational purposes and does not constitute legal, regulatory, health, or professional advice. Food safety laws and requirements vary by state and locality and change over time. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant authority or exam provider.
No accounts
iPrep does not use accounts or logins. Your progress and settings are stored on your device. If you delete the app or lose your device, that data may be lost and cannot be recovered by us.
Purchases, subscriptions, and free tier
iPrep offers a free tier with limited access. Full access is available through subscriptions and one time purchases. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Subscriptions renew according to the terms shown at the time of purchase unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Non renewing purchases provide access for the period stated at the time of purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies. We are not able to issue refunds directly.
Acceptable use
You agree to use iPrep only for your own lawful, personal study. You agree not to copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share the app’s questions, explanations, or other content, and not to reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to disrupt the app.
Intellectual property
The app, including its design, text, questions, explanations, and other original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Reference documents such as the FDA Food Code are United States government works and are used as public domain material. Trademarks referenced in the app, including the names of exams and exam providers, belong to their respective owners. iPrep is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exam provider.
Disclaimer of warranties
iPrep is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will be error free or uninterrupted. While we work to keep content accurate and current, we do not warrant that it is complete, correct, or up to date with the latest exam or regulatory changes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including failing an exam, lost data, or lost time or money. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to the app and these Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
