These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Formatly mobile application (“the app,” “Formatly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using Formatly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Formatly is

Formatly is a tool for converting photos and images between formats on your iPhone. It supports converting between formats such as JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF and PDF, batch converting multiple images at once, merging photos into a single PDF, reducing file sizes, and controlling output quality and metadata. All processing happens on your device.

No accounts

Formatly does not use accounts or logins. Your files, settings, and conversion history stay on your device. If you delete the app or lose your device, that data may be lost and cannot be recovered by us.

Purchases, subscriptions, and free tier

Formatly offers a free tier with limited usage. Full access with unlimited usage is available through a subscription or a lifetime purchase. Plans and pricing are shown in the app before you buy and may change at any time.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Subscriptions renew according to the terms shown at the time of purchase unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. A lifetime purchase provides access for the lifetime of the app. Offered paid plans can change at any time.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies. We are not able to issue refunds directly.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Formatly only for your own lawful, personal purposes. You agree to convert only images you own or have the right to use, and not to reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to disrupt the app.

Intellectual property

The app, including its design, text, and other original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The images and files you convert remain yours. Trademarks referenced in the app belong to their respective owners.

Disclaimer of warranties

Formatly is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will be error free or uninterrupted. While we work to keep conversions accurate and reliable, we do not warrant that every conversion will meet your expectations or preserve every detail of the original file.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including lost, corrupted, or altered files, lost data, or lost time or money. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
